I am a primary school teacher in a fantastic school in Westerhope, which is in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have been married to Brian for 31 years and I am the mother of four sons' who make me proud every day. I joined Cherished after seeing the Facebook post about a bride who donated her wedding dress to be made into gowns for sleeping babies. I was intrigued, so I found the Cherished page and thought 'I can knit and would love to Learn to crochet' so I applied to be a volunteer. Not long after joining one of my special friends lost a baby early in her pregnancy, I couldn't imagine what this lovely family had gone through. I was there to offer love and support and hope that by making hats, booties and blankets to give to families like my friends, they would feel the love and support needed during this terrible time.
