The Famous Cherished Gowns UK Wedding Dress Register
We know a lot of you were disappointed we couldn't take your wedding dress when we opened our waiting list on the 28th January. We had an incredible 15,000 hits on our dress donation page in just 24 hours. Despite warning our website provider that we expected high levels of traffic they just couldn't keep the site open, which caused a lot of people who were wanting to donate their dress to not be able to access the form.
In order to make sure we provide the best service and ensure our gowns are perfect we have strict rules, include trial gowns for all new seamstresses, colour and sizing rules, and procedures that mean that create perfect items from your dress when you donate it. These have been developed by our admin team with midwives across the UK and with the support of bereaved parents that means our packs are in all UK hospitals. Donating your most precious dress to us, ensures its handled with love and care by our experienced seamstresses. We will also will send you photographs on completion of the makes if you want. Everything we do is #wrappedinlove.
The lucky ladies who made it on the list referred to the emails as golden tickets, we love that term as it shows just how much you value us.
The good news is that we expect to reopen it again around the end of April, but this is dependant on how quickly our dedicated volunteers work through your dresses. You can be notified of when the waiting list will reopen by subscribing to our newsletter. Please see the left hand side of this page, and you will be the first to know when its opening.
We are using the hashtag #wrappedinlove as well as #cherishedgownsuk so watch out for us on instagram, twitter and Pinterest as well as Facebook.
