Emma Hayward joined #CherishedGownsUK after receiving a baby Bereavement pack from them after losing her daughter Annabelle.
This is Emma's story in her own words
These are the photos of Annabelle's outfit Megan sent to us. Sadly we were never able to see her in her outfit as the hospital didn't provide anything, and by time we received these it was simply too late to dress her ourselves, but the photo of her hat melts my heart. The gent from the mortuary promised to dress her for us thankfully!
I've yet to make a girls set, just can't do it. Bizarrely Annabelle was cremated in a blanket I'd made for another charity but forgot to post off with a bundle, it was the first tiny one I'd ever made, but I'm so thankful I was able to at least wrap her in a home made blanket before we had to say goodbye.
I don't really know what to write. I was so desperate for a hat for her and just couldn't understand how everyone kept saying she was too tiny. I kept thinking if they can make little dolls clothes why couldn't they make them for tiny babies? Thankfully I found cherished. I only if only could buy a hat, Megan, ( cofounder of Cherished GownsUK) came to our aid and sent me a whole outfit! My baby would be laid to rest in a real outfit, and I can't tell you how much that still means to us both.
I just think you're all just angels for what you do.
Emma is now training to be a Sands Volunteer as well as her work with Cherished Gowns UK.
